Join us in planning Methuen's Tricentennial Celebration

Methuen News Posted on May 03, 2024

Planning for Methuen's Tricentennial is underway! We invite you, the people of Methuen, to consider where you'd like to make your mark for Methuen 300:

1. Communication and Marketing: This group will spearhead efforts in social media, advertising, banners, logos, and posters—the whole shebang aimed at spreading the word effectively.

2. Methuen History: Dive into the rich tapestry of Methuen's past with historical timelines, lecture series, and open houses of the city’s historical areas. This group will collaborate closely with events to infuse a nostalgic charm into our celebrations.

3. Events: Engage residents, schools, houses of worship, civic groups, and businesses in crafting multiple signature events—think Methuen 300 Field Day and Methuen 300 Fireworks. Get involved in planned activities and add that special Methuen 300 touch!

4. Fundraising: While not everyone's cup of tea, fundraising is vital. If you've got a knack for it, this is your chance to shine! The funds raised here will fuel most of our events. So, let's tap into your talents and reach out to businesses, individuals, state and local governments, corporations, and grants—join forces and make it happen!

Let's make Methuen 300 a celebration to remember! We have created a survey to gather thoughts from the community regarding the celebration. Please fill out and submit your responses at the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1eg9mWw25IiYuLNiYSjxdaQ29VWRH_xo2y59uJGO9Fl0/edit
